BERAH empowers students to engage in a lifelong, meaningful relationship with Judaism and the Jewish people. Our educational program and our skilled, enthusiastic educators provide students with the Jewish knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make informed Jewish choices. We do this by praying together, celebrating together, learning together, and doing together and by:

• Developing a sense of community within the religious school and a connection to the larger congregational community.
• Creating opportunities to explore and develop a personal relationship with God, the Jewish People and Israel.
• Helping students develop a commitment to living and doing Jewish.
• Providing experiential hands-on activities, enrichment programming, trips, and other exciting learning opportunities to enhance the learning experience.
• Linking Jewish teachings, traditions, morals, and ethics to the power of the individual to change the world in order to show students that they can contribute to tikkun olam, the healing of our broken world.

In addition to our classroom curriculum, we provide our students with:

• Intensive enrichment activities in Jewish art and music, and Israeli Dance
• Family Education, led by trained family educators, that empowers our parents to become Jewish educators for their children and helps families create special Jewish memories together.
• Special training and certification in art, music and dance enrichment for both our High School Students and our classroom teachers.
• Guest speakers and special programs.
• Class trips to local sites of interest, and for our High School Students, an annual trip to NYC, Washington D.C. or Chicago each year.
• Intergenerational parent/child Torah study every week for our older students and their families.
