B’nai El is pleased to offer several opportunities for Adult Education. Please contact the Rabbi if you have any questions.
Please refer to the B'nai El Calendar for class dates and times.
Shabbat Morning Torah Study
All ages are welcome to attend this Shabbat morning event held approximately once a month. We look at the weekly Torah portion (and sometimes more) and engage in lively, open, and spirited discussion about traditional and modern interpretations and applications of the text. All opinions and questions are welcome.
B’nai El Book Club
Join us as we read and discuss some of the most entertaining, inspiring and important modern Jewish fiction (some non-fiction occasionally). No pressure, with a month or two between meetings there is plenty of time to read and digest each book. Check the calendar to find out our next meeting time and the book that we will discuss. You are welcome to come whether you have read the book or not
Robert P. Jacobs Adult Institute
This annual program at Temple Israel (just up Spoede Rd) is a community wide celebration of learning. Rabbis and Jewish scholars of Greater St. Louis teach classes on the widest possible variety of Jewish topics. Click this link for all the information.
Hebrew
Rabbi Lynn Goldstein, our Religious School Director, conducts an annual day-long Hebrew marathon. For those interested in more opportunities to learn Hebrew, please contact us.
Other Opportunities
B’nai El will be participating in programs through AJEC, the Adult Jewish Education Committee of St. Louis. Look for more details in coming months.
B’nai El is always looking for ways of expanding adult education, so check back regularly as new opportunities become available.
