Greta Forsman and Harlene and Marvin Wool
to be Recipients of B’nai El’s Ner Tamid Award
On June 25th, at 11 a.m. B’nai El’s prestigious Ner Tamid award will be given out for only the second time in B’nai El’s history. The award, established in 1999, recognizes a lifetime of service to and support of B’nai El congregation.
Marvin Wool has served B’nai El for many years as a board and committee member, a visionary and as the President of the congregation. Harlene is a life member and supporter of the B’nai El Sisterhood. Marvin and Harlene, together, have been a source of financial support at crucial times in B’nai El Congregation’s history including, but by no means limited to, the formation of the B’nai El Endowment Fund.
Greta Forsman has been a very active member of the B’nai El Sisterhood, serving as its President and in many other capacities. She has overseen and organized the diverse and contemporary B’nai El library collection for many years, and continues to serve B’nai El through creation of the liturgy for sisterhood Shabbat as well as attending regional sisterhood conferences.
The ceremony on June 25th is open to the St. Louis community and will provide the opportunity to recognize all of B’nai El’s volunteers and supporters. A special brunch will be served. There is no charge for attending, but please RSVP to the Temple office 314-432-6393 for reservations.
