Chavurot at B'nai El

B'nai El has four Chavurah (friendship) groups within the congregation.  All are open to new members and serve a wide variety of our congregants.

Chavurah Rishona was the first Chavurah of B'nai El Congregation, begun over 25 years ago.  They have been meeting monthly since then.  Most members of Chavurah Rishona are Seniors.  Couples and singles are welcome to join the group.

Chavurah East formed a little bit later, and originally was full of members who lived closer to the city of St. Louis at the time of its founding.  Of course now the members are scattered through the entire St. Louis area and the group is similar to Chavurah Rishona in consisting of older Adults, many of whom are still working, some retired.

Chavurah Chadasha was founded in 2005.  It is a chavurah of the young families and young adults of B'nai El congregation.  Many of the members of Chavurah Chadasha have young children.  All young couples and singles are welcome to the events, which always feature something for both the adults and the children.  If you are intersted in Chavurah Hadasha, please contact Colleen Isele.

Just getting started is a new Chavura (not yet named) for individuals and couples in thier 40's and 50's.  The first activity was in April.  Contact Nancy Goodman if you are interested in joining or learning more about this new group.

Feel free to contact Rabbi Plotkin about any of the Chavurot.

If none of these meet your needs, feel free to come to B'nai El and begin your own Chavurah!
