B'nai El and New Mt. Sinai - a historic connection
The New Mt. Sinai Cemetery and B'nai El have been together since B'nai El's founding in 1852. Co-owned by B'nai El, Shaare Emeth Congregation and Temple Israel, the New Mt. Sinai Cemetery is a St. Louis landmark.
There are many options for you at NMS, and the Executive Director, Bennett Lerner, would be thrilled to speak with you about your needs. As a Reform Cemetery, NMS allows for inter-married couples to be buried side by side, and for a number of other options not available at the more traditional Jewish cemeteries.
